ABOUT THE PROGRAM

ADVANCE, ArtHaus, Live Nation, and MLSE have come together to build Inside LIVE!, an award-winning program that supports and develops Canada’s underserved and untapped Black youth interested in careers within the music industry.

Selected participants take part in a three-day experiential course designed to expose Black youth and their parents to different career opportunities available in the music industry. Upon completion of the program, students and their parents will be able to map out career pathways for achieving success in the live entertainment industry.

what to expect

The experience is divided into three full day sessions, beginning with the Curriculum Day where youth receive an overview of the business of live music, understand the different roles and responsibilities in the sector and listen to industry guest speakers.

The Concert Day follows wherein participants attend a live concert and tour the venue, receiving a behind-the-curtain look at the inner works of running a live performance.

Finally, the Career Mapping Day closes the experience with workshops to examine potential post-secondary opportunities and job, volunteer, or internship opportunities in the industry. Participating students will receive a certificate and will be given preference when applying for internships with our partners.

Note: selected participants must complete all three days of the program
